

Jennifer S. Greene’s varied teaching experience includes work in Arts in Education
organizations as well as the Public, Parochial, Private, Conservatory Schools throughout
the New York City area. Jennifer has received prestigious awards for her work with
young people including recognition from The Weill Institute at Carnegie Hall and a
Champion for Change Award from Lifetime Television.
Ms. Greene has maintained a private voice studio for over nine years, with students
ranging from beginner to advanced levels. Her philosophy of teaching the young singer
as a complete musician begins with a solid understanding of vocal techniques.
Presented in a positive and supportive setting, this allows students to achieve at their
own individual pace and build performance confidence. Ms. Greene’s high school vocal
students have been accepted into prestigious conservatory and summer programs
including Mannes College of Music, Manhattan School of Music, and Tanglewood Music
Festival. Her students have performed at venues including Steinway Hall, the United
Nations International School, The Rainbow Room, and the Four Seasons as well as
being featured on off-Broadway stages and on film.
Ms. Greene is the Founding Director and Soprano Soloist for a unique opera outreach
program called Fairytale Opera Theater which brings professional opera singers in
exciting, interactive programming to elementary schools throughout New York City.
Though partnerships with Horizon Concerts and Education Through Music, this program
was brought to over 3,000 inner-city students from 2006-2008. Please visit www.

Ms. Greene is currently Voice Faculty at the United Nations International School, Staff
Teaching Artist with the New York City Opera Education Department, and Teaching Artist
for Education Through Music, Inc. Past voice faculty positions included the Metropolitan
Opera Guild, Harbor Conservatory for the Performing Arts, and the JCC Thurnauer School
of Music. She has been a contributing author for curricula and lesson planning for many
of these organizations, in addition to being sought out as a facilitator and presenter for a
variety of programs.
